About J.D. King
I've been active in illustration for over two decades and have worked for most of the major publications, including The New York Times, Time, Audubon Magazine, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Forbes, Newsweek, The Atlantic, Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine, Bicycling, Money, Business Week, U.S. News & World Report, The Village Voice, The Princeton Alumni Weekly, The Harvard Business Review, as well as WFMU and ad campaigns for Master/Visa, Nick @ Nite, U.S. Cellular Phone and Absolut Vodka.
Also, my work's been in American Illustration, Communication Arts and SPD.
On the side, my "hi-energy avant-rock" band J.D. King & The Coachmen has recorded two albums for Ecstatic Peace, "Ten Compositions: New Frontiers in Free Rock" (2000) and "American Mercury" (2006).
